Virtuous Rocks Waistbeads are empowering, elegant, and a symbol of femininity inspired by the people, music, the rich colors of the earth, movement, traditions, phenomenal women, and culture. Each divine premium Virtuous Rocks waist bead strand is an invitation to a new experience, carefully strung bead by bead with divine purpose and positive energy in the spirit of service and gratitude while connecting, tying, and celebrating our heritage and African roots. 

 

My journey as an artisan began with me making customized beaded necklaces for myself and eventually expanded to making them for my classmates and teachers in middle school back in the '90s - an unknowingly impactful entrepreneurial prelude. Fast forwarding to 2013, while in graduate school my attention, appreciation, and thoughts were directed inward toward my spirit and wombmanhood. With gratitude in my heart and through spirit-led reflection regarding femininity and the sacredness of a woman's body I was moved to make myself 3 strands of waist beads to show love and celebrate me and the body I am blessed to live in. At the time, I had never made waist beads before - I went with what I envisioned and let God lead and order my thoughts regarding how to create them and how to secure them around my body. I did what made sense to me, followed my intuition and what I felt led to do. It took what seemed like forever to make all of three of the the strands, but I remained patient, diligent, and determined. The time spent was rewarding beyond measure, beyond what I could comprehend at the time. I figured out how to tie my waist bead strands around my waist with no glue or clasp and they stretch, so I can remove them and put them back on when I please, which was great for a first-time wearer. Gratefully, those same 3 strands have withstood all of my tests, so far, lol. I've worn them for 11+ years, but it was the prayer, intentional active stillness, introspective reflection, and education and discovery that reignited my self-love and held me close. It was another level of the unearthing of my inner beauty and realization of my power through Christ who strengthens me. 

Fast forward through seven years of divine synchronicities and Virtuous Rocks Waistbeads and accessories was born during a global pandemic in 2020. Add on a few more years of African Waist bead research, prayer, studying, enlightenment, personal and product development, and evolution. I am Honored and Blessed to be where I am today on this divine journey.
